about amy
Life can be overwhelming, parenting can be difficult, or even making sense of your past or future can be exhausting. Maybe you just don't know where to start.
My name is Amy, and as a therapist at R&O Wellness, I can help you navigate your emotions, relationships, parenting challenges, life transitions, and/or, the effects of trauma. We'll take things one step at a time and work towards gaining skills.
I am from Texas, born and raised! I graduated with my M.A. in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Texas A&M University - San Antonio. I'm someone who has strong familial and cultural values. I have worked in community mental health and nonprofit programs for over 3 years, serving Hispanic/Latinx, Persons of Color, neurodiverse individuals, and underserved populations.
I strive for relatability, transparency, and warmth. I know that going to a stranger to talk about your problems can be intimidating, therefore, I want to express genuineness and a sense of comfort into the therapeutic space. I believe therapy should feel like a place where you can show up as you are, as a whole or in pieces - and that's okay!
SPECIALTIES
I provide dedicated, culturally sensitive counseling for Hispanic/LatinX community members navigating their unique life experiences. Terapia en espanol tambien!
Hispanic/LatinX
I have experience in working with youth and support them as they navigate the unique challenges of growing up and building self-esteem in today's world.
YOUTH
I provide compassionate support for caregivers navigating the daily rewards and challenges of raising children, including raising neurodivergent children.
Parenting
I provide nurturing support those navigating significant changes such as a death, loss, change in relationship status, relocation, or any adjustment.
Life adjustments

My goal is to meet you where you are, listen without judgement, and walk alongside with you as you walk through life's struggles. ~Amy
